A 30MW Battery system, capable of storing 120 MWh of energy, was formally announced today by Sandiego . The system has enough storage to power 20,000 homes for 4 hours. The system is comprised of 400,000 batteries, packaged indie of 24 large containers. The facility was built in partnership with AES Energy Storage and San Diego Gas & Electric.
